A New Patch has been Reported for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla!

Spring is here, even in the virtual world of games. Players of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla who logged into the game from March 18th and visited their homestead in Ravensthorpe have possibly seen the preparations in swing for the Ostara Festival. But, due to some very prominent bugs and issues, Ubisoft had to do away with several of the festival’s features. However, there are reports suggesting that a new patch is releasing for the PS5 version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to resolve these bugs, and that it’s coming soon.

A New Patch has been Reported for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has seen a recent influx of players, even though the game had released back in November 2020. The dev team added new features with Update 1.2.0 like armor and weapon transmorg, while also rewarding loyal players with a Godly Reward. This gave players 300 Opals and aesthetic items from the previous Yule Festival. Opals are the premium in-game currency and can be used to acquire legendary items or unique aesthetic decorations in Reda’s shop in Ravensthorpe.

PlayStation Game Size was recently able to discover the patch update 1.2.0 to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the PlayStation 5 database. Players who had experienced the game-crashing bugs from the Ostara festival should recall that the issues revolved around the Ravensthorpe decoration spots, making the story quest specific to the festival, impossible to complete. Other bugs also saw Eivor suddenly de-synchronizing within Ravensthorpe for no reason.

They also reported that the Update 1.2.0 would be a medium sized patch which will not change the overall file size of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on your system. While the post does not mention anything about the patch releasing for the PS4 system, a commenter did ask in reply to the tweet. PlayStation Game Size replied that it would be the same size, hinting that the patch should be coming to the PS4 as well.

While Ubisoft has mentioned that a patch will be released to fix these issues, the devs have not given an official release date for these updates. As the Ostara Festival is currently active, let’s hope that the update comes soon so players can make the most of it. The new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC is right around the corner as well, so the Festival has been a great way to pass the time until we get more content for the game.
