Now Enjoy Full DualSense Controller Support on PC for AC Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been receiving a lot of support from Ubisoft. With Wrath of the Druids out and Siege of Paris on the way, Valhalla players have a lot of content to enjoy.

Ubisoft isn’t falling behind on the hardware front either, as PC players can now take advantage of the fantastic DualSense controllers reserved for the PS5 when playing Valhalla on their computers.

This support comes from the latest update to Valhalla and confirms that the game now fully supports Sony’s current generation controller. This includes the amazing haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, but the controller will have to be connected via a wire for these features to work.

So, for those who like to live cable-free, you’ll just have to make do without.

But you won’t be missing out on much. While the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers function, they are nowhere close to the effect you would feel when playing on a PS5. So, you might not feel the same degree of tension when drawing a bowstring or the satisfying thunk as you sink your battle-ax into the head of an unfortunate enemy.

The DualSense controller has received overwhelming praise since its release. Players have commented on how the accurate haptic feedback and the dynamic adaptive triggers help improve immersion into the game.

While the features are not supported on every game out there, more and more developers are getting around to adding them to their titles as they spend more time with the technology.

We can expect the controller support to get better as time goes on for Valhalla. Ubisoft has pledged that this current installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will receive the most post-launch support compared to any title before.

As mentioned before, the Siege of Paris expansion is next in line, and we can expect some more content to drop in 2022 as well.

This is good news for those PC players who prefer controllers over a keyboard and mouse setup. While it won’t feel as good an experience as playing natively on the PS5 right now, we’re sure future updates should make it feel much more like the real thing.
