The first paid expansion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was finally released on May 13. Titled ‘Wrath of the Druids,’ the DLC takes Eivor to the treacherous Irish coast to explore significant landmasses, meet new characters, fight werewolves and unlock numerous items.
Wrath of the Druids is the first of the two paid major expansions that Valhalla will receive this year. As per Ubisoft’s post-launch roadmap, the RPG will get its second paid DLC, The Siege of Paris, this summer.
Having released two free seasonal festive updates that bring a ton of content, it’s good to see Ubisoft staying true to its promise of giving AC Valhalla the “Biggest, Longest, Strongest” support.
To get the ‘Wrath of the Druids’ up and running, players will need to complete a few steps that involve buying and downloading the DLC. After this, players will have to meet several in-game requirements of the expansion and head to Ireland.
All this can get a little overwhelming and confusing, so let’s go over this one by one, shall we?
1. Buying and Downloading Wrath of the Druids in AC Valhalla:
Players can buy the Wrath of the Druids expansion either as a standalone addition or through the Season Pass through the store of their choice.
i. Is It Worth to Purchase the Season Pass?
If you are an enthusiast and breath Assassin’s Creed, it’s better to get the Season Pass. It will help you get your hands on the game’s DLC expansion for free or at a discounted rate, ultimately saving you money.
Season Pass is priced at $39.99, while the Wrath of the Druids DLC will cost you $24.99. Assuming that the upcoming ‘Siege of Paris’ DLC is priced the same, the Pass will help you save $9.98.
After buying the expansion pack, the next step is downloading it.
Here’s the Download Size of the DLC:
- Xbox Series X|S: 16GB
- Xbox One: 12.8GB
- PlayStation5: 5.5 GB
- PlayStation4: 5-8 GB
- PC: 14 GB
After installing the DLC expansion pack, launch the game and load a save.
Now, before you fight against everything that Ireland will throw at you, you will have to meet a few requirements.
2. How to Start the ‘Wrath of the Druids’ DLC?
To play ‘Wrath of the Druids’ DLC, players need to have a power level of 55. After getting to or going beyond this power level, players will have to head to Ravensthorpe.
A new quest called Irish Trade will also become available. Select it to ensure you don’t get lost.
When you enter Ravensthorpe, the game will lead you to a new character that has set foot in your settlement’s docks.
i. Interacting with Azar
Interact with the woman that you see at the docks. After speaking with her, you’ll find out that her name’s Azar. She has come all the way from Ireland to give you a letter from Barid mac Imair, King of Dublin and your long-lost cousin.
She’s the one that will take you to all the glorious adventures that await you in Ireland.
Now in order to go to Dublin, Ireland, you’ll have to get rid of some bandits and thieves. Moreover, you will have to clear a blockade at the Nene River that’s preventing the trade of goods.
Once you have burnt the blockade and defeated enemies, return to Azar, speak with her. She will ask you to accompany her to Ireland. Say yes, and brace yourself and your crew, for your daring venture in Ireland.
