AC Valhalla X Vinland Saga: The Most Ambitious Crossover Ever?

AC Valhalla X Vinland Saga: The Most Ambitious Crossover Ever?

The much-awaited action role-playing game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has now entered the magical world of manga. As a part of their promotional activity, Valhalla’s story will feature in popular manga series, Vinland Saga.

Written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura, Vinland Saga is based on myths, historical events, and fables about the life of Vikings. The protagonist of the story, named Thorfinn, saw his own father die in front of him.

Owing to this crossover between Yukimura and Ubisoft, we will get to see Thorfinn meeting our very own protagonist Eivor.

Honestly, if you’re planning to get the Japanese population hooked to the game, nothing’s better than a manga. Japan breathes manga and anime.

This is an amazing advertisement technique. Every large swath of the population is sentimental about something.

I remember Hugh Jackman while promoting Wolverine saying that he is a big fan of legendary Indian Batsman, Sachin Tendulkar. This ultimately prompted many Indians to watch Wolverine in theaters.

Ubisoft did a similar kind of thing here to serenade the Japanese.

Vinland Saga is a very sought-after manga that has sold over 5.5 million copies. Thus, the news regarding the arrival of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will surely reach a lot of people.

Valhalla has received a short story in the October 24 issue of Monthly Afternoon magazine. Although, the translated variant isn’t here as of now. You can still get your hands on the original story here.

It was only recently that the ‘Echoes of Valhalla’, a podcast that unfolds the history behind the game was unveiled. The podcast alone turned out to be very successful. It can be found on Spotify.

With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft is engaging in some pretty hardcore advertisement to make sure every corner of the earth knows about their arrival. Hopefully, the game will stand up to everyone’s expectation too.
