Ubisoft Extends AC Valhalla Yule Festival Due to Widespread Issues

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Yule Festival has made a comeback after last being hosted around the same time in 2020. The Festival itself brings a whole host of new activities for the players, giving them the chance to earn unique rewards. However, this year’s Festival has been facing some hiccups, which has pushed the studio to extend its duration, so everyone has a chance to take part.

The Yule Festival began on December 16th this year for all players and completely revamped the look of the Ravensthorpe settlement.

Unfortunately, not everyone has been able to participate in the many activities as they have had trouble accessing the Yule Festival content in Valhalla. Thankfully, the development team is aware of this issue and is working on a fix.

Following many reports from disgruntled players who have not been able to access the content, Ubisoft announced they plan to extend the event “so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the winter festivities.”

The Festival was originally going to end on January 6th but will now be live beyond this date. No specific end date has yet been provided by Ubisoft. A post on the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter page states that the developers will release a patch to address the issue on an unspecified date in early January.

This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has had to extend the duration of a festival due to technical issues. A crashing glitch in the Ostara Festival pushed Ubisoft to remove the event and then reupload it for an extended period of time.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been receiving a lot of new content off late, with the Crossover Stories content with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Kassandra and the announcement of the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC, which is set to release in March 2022. Valhalla players have a lot to look forward to in the coming months and much to keep them busy until March.
