New Patch Fixes Access Issue Faced by Gamers with AC Valhalla Yule Event

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has become the most significant title in the franchise to date, getting the most post-launch support with even more planned for the second year of its release. But, with more content comes more problems.

Most recently, a glitch has prevented players from progressing in the Assassin’s Creed Yule Festival event. The developers have released a new patch that addresses this issue and brings other improvements to the game.

The Yule Festival returned as a seasonal event from last year, giving players the chance to earn Yule Tokens by completing activities. Much like the Ostara and Oskoreia Festival, the Yule Festival also offers several settlement decorations options and tattoos on top of armor and weapon rewards.

Unfortunately, this year’s Festival was affected by a glitch that prevented players from even accessing the event. This led the developers to announce that they would be extending the duration of the Festival while they worked on a fix for the glitch.

The Assassin’s Creed official Twitter handle told that the issues would be fixed with Title Update 1.4.1.2, released today (6 January). The hope is this update allows players to access the Festival finally.

With the extension in place, the Yule Festival event will now end on 27 January, giving players ample time to progress and earn their rewards.

Those who have the game should take part in the Festival event as it features a variety of exclusive items that are available only during this time. The event includes two seasonal quests and three activities: Yule Brawl, Braun’s Folly, and Twirling Targets.

The patch will be good news for the fans, but many were frustrated that it took Ubisoft this long to address the issue. Many Twitter users complained about the delay, and one asked if the developers had even tested the Festival before taking it live.

Others are annoyed with the extension as they just want the homestead to go back to the way it was. Many were not even aware the event was a thing until the announcement, as they were all victims of the glitch that prevented them from accessing the Festival.

However you look at it, Ubisoft has managed to fix the issue, and players can now access the Yule Festival. While it may be a little out of season, the rewards are still up for grabs for whoever takes part.
