Acc. To Devs, Cyberpunk Runs Surprisingly Good on PS4 And Xbox One.

During a recent conference call with CD Projekt, Company president and joint-CEO Adam Kiciński stated that Cyberpunk 2077 runs “surprisingly good” on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

At this point, I think all of us can safely say that there’s a very high chance that Cyberpunk 2077 WILL finally release on December 10th, after being delayed time and again.

Of course, that’s not to say that the people are not skeptical of the release date. If anything, many believe that the game will inevitably be delayed to 2021, something that nobody will appreciate at this point.

That said, there are still many questions that remain in people’s minds, many of which were actually cleared up during the conference call as mentioned earlier call with CDPR.

As reported by VG247, during the call, the first thing that Adam Kiciński did was reassure everyone that the game will most certainly release on December 10th.

After that, when asked about Cyberpunk’s performance on the previous-generation consoles, he stated that “Of course, [the performance is] a bit lower than on pros, but surprisingly good, I would say, for such a huge world. So, bit lower, but very good. That’s the answer.”

He continued with, “And on both – I mean, PS5 is great. PS4 is still very good. I mean, we had those extra three weeks and we achieved a lot – within this final stretch. So, we believe that the game is performing great on every platform. Of course, according to platform capabilities, but not every platform should be great.”

He also stated that the last delay of the game has helped the team achieve a lot regarding the performance of the game. It’s honestly understandable, considering how when the previous delay was announced, the team’s main goal was to stabilize the overall performance of the game, especially on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

So, it’s certainly great to see them achieving their pre-established goal for these three weeks.

Other than the performance on previous-generation consoles, Kiciński also mentioned a little about the game’s multiplayer mode, which will be its own standalone thing. However, it seems unlikely that we’ll be hearing about that for a while.

Regardless, as I’ve always said, all we can do now is to wait and hope that the game launches smoothly on December 10th and we can finally explore the Night City in all its glory!

About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
