Achievements are now being added in AC Valhalla

A correction was posted on Ubisoft’s forums, which stated that the unavailability of achievements on the game’s PC version was unintended and inaccurate.

“We are aware that achievements are not available for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players on PC – this was unintended. We are actively working to enable achievements and will keep you updated when more information is available.”

Along with all this, Ubisoft’s representative also apologized for the confusion and miscommunication caused by this.

For those unaware, earlier this week, many players noticed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s achievement section was missing from the game’s page.

Players immediately took to Reddit, speculating on what could’ve gone down. Many suggested that the removal of achievements may have been Ubisoft’s mistake on the presumption that Epic Games Store does not have achievement support for the games.

But to clear all the doubts, Ubisoft initially confirmed that the removal was intentional while also saying that all future games will no longer have achievements.

“Achievements are not available for this title on PC, and this is an intended change. Instead of Achievements for new games on Ubisoft Connect … we have expanded the Challenges, which provide XP and other rewards in Ubisoft Connect. We know that this is a big change for a lot of you, and we appreciate your understanding in the matter.”

Representative

As one would expect, this received a lot of backlash from people, with some threatening to outright file a refund for the game, and honestly speaking, it’s understandable.

Achievements serve as challenges for the players to perform specific tasks that range from super easy to hard as nails. They are an inherent part of what makes any video game way more fun than they already are.

Anyhow, it seems that the Achievement section will now be added to Ubisoft connect now, so that’s one more thing to look forward to from Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed title.
