Several reports have stated that Sony may be planning on bringing some PlayStation exclusive games to PC platforms. Now, a recent leak reveals that all 5 Uncharted games may soon be coming to Epic Games and the Steam Store.
A post on ResetEra has shown what seems to be a leaked image of a social post that announces a new Uncharted Collection to be released on Epic and Steam. The ad has shown that every Uncharted console game will be included in the bundle, including the spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
The collection will likely house all five main games in the Uncharted series to date: 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, 2009’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, 2011’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, 2016’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and 2017’s Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
The image also shows the logo of the recently acquired Nixxes studios in the bottom right corner. This makes sense as Sony has been pretty vocal about acquiring this company with the intent to create PC ports of its franchises.
According to the leak, the social post is set to go live at 10 am (no time zone was specified) on Monday, September 6th, to announce the Uncharted PC Collection’s December 7th release date. Of course, all of this should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism as nothing has been officially announced by Sony yet, but there are a few reasons this leak is reasonably believable.
Firstly, PlayStation exclusive games have slowly made their way onto PC, with Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone being the first major PlayStation Studios games to appear on the platform. So, it makes sense for a massive name like Uncharted to also be ported onto PC.
Also, earlier this year, the PlayStation Studios curator page on Steam had listed 41 games being available on Steam, having only 24 games on the site at the time. While that has since been changed, it did align very perfectly with Sony’s increasing presence on PC, which would mean that it looks pretty likely that a whole new segment of players will be able to enjoy the fantastic journey that is the Uncharted series.
