Apart from Resident Evil Village’s intense action sequences and the tiring fights, there are some other mysteries that challenge Ethan’s brain power in the game. These mysteries are the four Labyrinth puzzles spread throughout the village map and once successfully solved, they can reward quite handsomely.
In order to solve these four Labyrinths, the things you need are four metallic balls that can also be found hidden throughout the game’s map. Remember, the first Labyrinth you will come across will be situated inside Castle Dimitrescu, so be sure to keep an eye out for it.
1. All Labyrinth and Ball Locations in Resident Evil Village
There are a total of four Labyrinth for players to solve if they are looking for some high priced rewards from the game. The Labyrinths can be solved in the order of progression to the game as follows:
I. Castle Dimitrescu Labyrinth Location
This Labyrinth looks exactly like the replica of Castle Dimitrescu and can be found inside the Merchant’s room on the ground floor of Castle Dimitrescu. The room is right next to the main Castle door.
The merchant Duke’s shop is located inside this room, so you don’t have to worry about Dimitrescu trying to hunt you down while you are solving the puzzle. The area near the Duke is usually considered as the safe zone and no enemy can approach near it.
i. Flower Swords Ball Location
The Flower Swords Ball required to solve the Castle Dimitrescu Labyrinth is located on the second floor of the Castle inside a little chest near the window of the Opera Room.
Although, the ball is pretty easy to locate, Dimitrescu will be actively hunting you down throughout the whole castle. Make sure to dodge and weave through her attacks and try to avoid running into her path as much as possible.
ii. How to Solve the Castle Dimitrescu Labyrinth Puzzle?
To solve the Castle Dimitrescu Labyrinth, players need to tilt the puzzle so that the ball slides into the correct position. Players just need to successfully guide the ball into a glowing marker by tilting the labyrinth while avoiding holes in between.
After the ball reaches its goal, a special chamber will open up revealing the reward for solving the puzzle.
Each Labyrinth gives one special Skull for players to collect. This puzzle gives the Crimson Skull which can be sold to the Duke for 8000 Lei.
II. Garden Labyrinth Location
The Garden Labyrinth is located inside the Garden house near the garden area of the Beneviento Estate.
The garden area is unlocked after you’ve successfully defeated Donna Beneviento. You just have to be super careful of the enemies lurking nearby the Garden before approaching the Garden area.
i. Sun and Moon Ball Location
The Sun and Moon Ball is also located near the Gardener’s home next to the Labyrinth. If you cannot seem to find it, try to search thoroughly till you do.
Once you’ve found the ball, you can start solving the Labyrinth right away.
ii. How to Solve the Garden Labyrinth Puzzle?
This Labyrinth can also be solved in the previous way. Simply tilting the puzzle and guiding the ball will do the trick.
Just remember to watch out for opening from where the ball can fall off, and don’t let the ball gain too much speed.
This puzzle rewards players with the Onyx Skull which can be sold for 15000 Lei in Duke’s shop.
Now, moving onto the third Labyrinth to solve i.e, the Moreau Labyrinth.
III. Moreau Labyrinth Location
The Moreau Labyrinth is located inside the Reservoir of the first Windmill in Moreau’s area. The Labyrinth will be located just down the top of the big windmill.
Although the Labyrinth is pretty easy to locate, players can only get the ball after defeating the third boss Moreau and acquiring the crank.
i. Mermaid Ball Location
To get to the Mermaid Ball, players first need to crank open the garden door and head to the hilly area near the first windmill. There they can locate a small shrine where the Mermaid Ball can be found inside a little chest.
After collecting the ball, you can simply head back to the Labyrinth to finish the puzzle.
ii. How to Solve the Moreau Labyrinth Puzzle?
This puzzle too can be solved like the rest of them. The ball just needs to be guided to the highlighted goal area. Players just need to look out for open areas and be careful of the damaged part on the lower left of the labyrinth.
Once you’ve finished the puzzle, collect the reward and head over to Heisenberg’s area to find the fourth puzzle.
This puzzle will reward a Chartreuse Skull that can be sold for 20000 Lei in the Duke’s shop.
IV. Heisenberg’s Factory Labyrinth Location
The Heisenberg’s Factory Labyrinth is located inside Heisenberg’s factory just next to the room with the merchant Duke.
Fair warning! Do not go inside the Boss Room on the first floor before completing all these side quests. Since, you probably won’t have time to search for them later.
While the Labyrinth is pretty easy to locate, the ball is the hardest to locate in Heisenberg’s factory since technically it does not exist till you actually make the ball yourself.
i. Iron Horse Ball Location
The Iron Horse Ball needs to be crafted using an Iron mold and a big casting machine. The iron mold is located on floor B2 right through the Ventilation Duct. There players need to push a wooden cart to reveal a suitcase containing the ball mold.
Next, the ball mold needs to be taken to the Forge inside the Foundry in B4. After the casting is complete, the ball will be ready to use.
ii. How to Solve the Heisenberg’s Factory Labyrinth Puzzle?
The Heisenberg’s Factory Labyrinth can be solved in the same way as all other ones in the game. Players just need to be slow and steady to get past the cog wheel stage of the Labyrinth and maintain proper speed to finish the puzzle.
Once you are done with the puzzle, the reward is yours to take.
The reward for this puzzle is the Bister Skull worth 30000 Lei.
If you do not know how to sell items to the Duke, here is how you can do it.
2. How to Sell Items in the Merchant’s Shop in Resident Evil Village?
To sell items to the Duke, simply approach him and select the Duke’s Purse option on the menu to reveal all the sellable items you hold. Then just simply select the ones you want to sell and voila! You have tons of money to buy upgrades and loads of ammo.
You can also increase your inventory and stats from the Duke’s shop as well.
