AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT: Everything You Need to Know- Specs, Price, & More

AMD graphic cards are renowned for outperforming their Nvidia counterparts despite their relatively lesser popularity. This time AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, also known as Navi 31, is here to challenge the upcoming GeForce RTX 4090, the best of the next-gen 4000 series by Nvidia.

As AMD CEO has already confirmed the launch of the newer GPU, it’s the best time to take a glance at everything we know about AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT “Navi 31” so far.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Release Date Speculations

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is rumored to release in December 2022. AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed in a recent earning call that AMD RDNA 3 GPU architecture, on which Navi 31 is based, would be available this year.

Unfortunately, no official date is revealed for the launch of the same. Also, AMD does not have a defined GPU launch cycle, unlike Nvidia, which makes it difficult to predict the launch of its future products.

If AMD decides to follow Nvidia’s pattern of releasing a GPU series every two years, then we can surely expect AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT to debut around December 2022 as AMD launched the Radeon RX 6900 XT in the Winter of 2020.

Greymon55, the well-known hardware leaker on Twitter, has revealed that the RDNA 3 GPU will reportedly feature double the number of cores in the RX 6000 Series GPUs, and the Navi 31 chip will consist of 12,288 stream processors.

It is also a possibility that Navi 31 may become the first-ever graphics card to use a PCIe 5.0 interface, which can feature over twice the bandwidth as its predecessor, PCIe 4.0.

However, nothing is set in stone as of now, and all the mentioned specifications of Navi 31 are subject to changes until the final product is released.
