Leaked Images Hint at Possible Reveal of New AMD RX Graphics Card

Leaks make the gaming community go round. From games to consoles and other hardware, leaks help keep a gamer’s hope alive for something better on the horizon. While companies try to keep most info from reaching the general public until they’re ready to announce it, someone on the inside will inevitably let it slip.

This latest leak should have PC gamers very excited as an image may hint at the possible reveal of an AMD RX 6600 XT graphics card, the newest offering from the manufacturer.

The specs of the RX 6600 XT had been leaked through screenshots, and now we have some images which further confirm the fact that AMD is going to be launching a new graphics card soon.

According to a source, the upcoming graphics card image, leaked by a user, shows it as a rendered image. We don’t have any official information from AMD yet, but an image analysis indicates that it could be legitimate, especially since it looks very similar to an image already shown at CES events this year.

According to the leaked screenshots, the RX 6600 XT is based on the 7nm architecture. It will have 8GB of GDRR6 Samsung memory, PCIe 4.0, 2048 Unified Shaders, base clock speed of 1692MHz, and boosted clock speed of 2684MHz.

The card will also have Vulkan and Ray Tracing support, and can take advantage of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology for better visuals and performance.

AMD has been quite active with releasing products off-late, despite the global chip shortages every manufacturer is facing. NVIDIA had recently announced that they would be stepping up production of the RTX 3060, and AMD launched three Navi 23 cards within the 6000 range, including the Radeon Pro W6600. AMD has also launched its spatial upscaling technology, FidelityFX Super Resolution, as competition to NVIDIA’s DLSS.

The shortages which have been affecting the gaming community, and surrounding communities, have been felt on a global scale. We have no specific date as to when things will go back to normal, but there have been reports of prices normalizing in certain countries as availability is increasing. Additionally, AMD’s CEO spoke in May about having a positive outlook and stated that hardware could be more readily available very soon.

Considering this leaked render is doing the rounds of all major news sources on the Internet, it’s only a matter of time until AMD releases an official statement.
