Stuck on Level 500? Not Anymore as Apex Legends Is Finally Raising the Level Cap

Apex Legends Season 13 is well underway, and players are loving it, but that hasn’t stopped Respawn Entertainment from teasing the next season. Season 14 of Apex Legends will be called hunted and will feature the newly announced legend, Vantage. Moreover, the developers announced that an increase was finally coming to the level cap.

While fans love Apex Legends for many reasons, one aspect many particularly enjoy is grinding to max level. Unfortunately, like any other long-running game, that grind has been over for a long time for many gamers, as the level cap in Apex Legends has remained at level 500 for a couple of years.

However, the game’s next season appears to be changing that, keeping longtime players stuck at level 500 (another reason to grind the game again).

The information came from Apex Legends’ official website. The website lists several new additions to the game in Season 14. Players could gain XP from playing the game in any of its modes, whether it was ranked, Arenas, a limited-time mode, or the standard battle royale.

Where ranked rewards players for doing well in games and punishes them for going out early, players were always guaranteed to gain a little XP, no matter how well they did.

Gaining account levels through XP was also valuable because it was one of the few ways players could receive Apex Packs for free.

In addition to the cosmetics, opening lots of Apex Packs is the only way players could give themselves better chances at Heirloom Shards, the currency with which they could unlock the game’s coveted Heirloom melee weapons or Prestige skins.

The Apex Legends fanbase and community have been eager for an increase to the player level cap ever since its first increment back on December 3, 2019. Although neither Respawn Entertainment nor EA has revealed the new level cap, some speculate it to be around 700 to even as high as 1000.

Players who maxed out more than a year ago, now have much more to grind for as there are free Apex Packs waiting for them through level upgrades.

The new Season will include other notable changes, including the addition of Vantage, the game’s latest legend. Players should also keep an eye on the map as Kings Canyon is also undergoing a massive overhaul.

Time changes everything, and Kings Canyon is no exception. What will rise from the ashes of the past?

Season 14 comes out on August 9th, and with these changes, it should give veterans, current, and past players enough reason to hop back on the game.

About Apex Legends

Apex Legends is a free-to-play FPS battle-royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. Upto 20 three-person squads or 30 two-person duos land on an island, scavenge for weapons and supplies and attempt to kill the other players until they are the only team left.

The game features excellent combat and movement mechanics and is generally regarded as one of the more competent battle-royale games out there. Players can choose one amongst the many pre-prepared character models, each of which has it own playstyle and unique move-set.

The game was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 4, 2019. A Nintendo Switch version released in March 2021. Android and iOS ports are planned for 2022.
