Ubisoft – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Final Update “Final Chapter”

The last bug update was unexpected for many as the game had reached the end of its post-release roadmap. The changelog to the update on the official site doesn’t state that it’s the final update, so there could be more small fixes/patches to come.

Ubisoft is taking its time to ensure they don’t fall short of expectations this time. During the Assassin’s Creed showcase, four titles were announced in addition to multiplayer gameplay:

  1. Assassin’s Creed Mirage by Ubisoft Bordeaux
  2. Assassin’s Creed Infinity by Ubisoft Quebec and Montreal
  3. Assassin’s Creed Codename “Red” by Ubisoft Quebec
  4. Assassin’s Creed Codename “Hexe” by Ubisoft Montreal
  5. Assassin’s Creed Codename “Jade” for Android and iOS
  6. Assassin’s Creed Invictus as a standalone multiplayer.

Set for a release this year, the creative director listened to the community’s desire for a smaller-scale game and implemented it while developing Mirage right from the outset. Set in 9th-century Baghdad, it’s a “special tribute to the First Assassin’s Creed.”

Seeing a swift transition from the icy-cold Nordic to the warm medieval Middle East will be interesting. The gameplay is reportedly focused on stealth, parkour, and assassinations, returning to what it was before the RPG-style entries of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
