This new journey will take gamers back to the historical days of England and Norway. With the game promising to bring myths, folklore and fables back to life, one can expect to encounter otherworldly creatures and beasts now and again.

The trailer teased the arrival of three fantasy creatures like Black Shuck, Daughters of Lerion and six Drengr warriors.

Black Shuck

According to English Legends, Black Shuck is a dog, black in colour, with no other purpose but to kill. It was believed that these canine species were wicked and were said to be the embodiment of Lucifer.

The game also tries to encompass the legacy of Shakespeare in its plot by including the Daughters of Lerion.

This story of Lerion’s three daughters is a mythological tale which served as an inspiration for William Shakespeare to write his tragic play titled King Lear.

King Lerion was double-crossed by the inhabitants of East Anglia. Consequently, the sisters are now dedicated to safeguarding the legacy of their father. As the game progresses, one will learn more about them.

The trailer also prodded enthusiasts with the six warriors who were left behind by the lost Drengr of Ragnar Lothbrok. The famed, infuriating Viking arrived in England ten years before the events of AC Valhalla.

It’s fair to say he wrecked, even annihilated those who opposed him. Thus, he had a ton of nemeses and adversaries. The Viking died after he ended up in a huge pit that was filled with noxious snakes.

Now, the six Drengr that were left behind by him will come as the gameplay advances. They will reveal more information about Lothbrok and his life.

“You’ll find these Drengr scattered throughout England and Norway, and they each have a story to tell. Each of them wants to die in a glorious battle so that they can be with their beloved Ragnar in Valhalla. Eivor will have an opportunity to meet with them, get their side of the story, and then send them to their ultimate reward.”

Darby McDevitt, Narrative Director

The release date of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is 17th November 2020 and the game, as of now, is available for pre-order.
