Assert Dominance Like a True Viking with Valheim Beer Pong

As if Valheim wasn’t competitive enough already, players have come up with a cool, and yet endearingly familiar, new way to settle disputes. If you’re unable to reconcile differences with a fellow viking, you can now duke it out over some good ol’ Beer Pong.

Although, for the sake of correctness, it’s mead pong. Or barleywine pong. Basically, your choice of unlocked beverage.

The idea, while being around for some time, took some time to gain traction until redditor u/JaplesPie put together a first look for the community at r/Valheim.

For furnishing your own Beer Pong table, you’ll need a bronze axe to cut down fine wood from birch or oak trees. Once you’ve used the wood to craft a double-length table, you’ll need to get working on your traditional pong arena which will include horizontal item stands, made with fine wood and bronze nails, and mugs, made with fine wood. Finally, you can substitute ping pong balls with amber pearls for throwing into chalices, and you’re good to get a tournament going.

If you want something that is more in line with Valheim’s unforgiving nature, you could try The Kicking Tower. Tall tower, round platform on top. You have to try and knock your opponent off with the Mouse 3 special attack. Last man standing atop the tower wins.

If that too is PG for you, then to the Troll Pit you can go. No, we’re not being rude, we’re talking about a real troll pit.

While Valheim’s success has already become the stuff of legend, the fact that players can recreate their pre-pandemic escapades in the game will definitely contribute to the attention it’s already getting. It’ll sure be cool to see what else the average aspiring Viking is able to create in the near future.
