Leaked ASRock’s AMD 600-series Motherboard List Confirms the Existence of B650E

As we get closer and closer to Intel’s and AMD’s launch of their next-gen CPUs, we have started seeing more and more support from other hardware parts as well. Motherboard manufacturers especially have been busy developing chipsets for Intel’s 13th gen Raptor Lake and AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Processors.

ASRock is one such motherboard manufacturer who we earlier saw was developing Z790 and H770 motherboards for Intel’s 13th gen Raptor Lake CPUs. The company is also developing 600-series motherboards for AMD’s Raphael processors.

ASRock had already revealed its X670E lineup after AMD announced its X670E, X670, and B650 chipsets. X670 ‘Extreme’ adds PCle 5.0 support for two graphics slots and is the flagship of the 600-series motherboard lineup.

B650 is a budget-friendly motherboard that offers PCle 5.0 only for storage. We didn’t have much information on the variants of this motherboard, although now we have a leaked lineup.

  • X670E Taichi
  • X670E Taichi Carrara
  • X670E Steel Legend
  • X670E Phantom Gaming Lightning
  • X670E Pro RS

ASRock/AMD B650E/B650

  • NZXT N7-B65XT
  • B650E Steel Legend
  • B650E ITX
  • B650E Pro RS
  • B650E Phantom Gaming Riptide
  • B650E Phantom Gaming-ITX/AX
  • B650 Phantom Gaming Velocita
  • B650M Phantom Gaming Riptide
  • B650M-C
  • B650-C
  • B650 LiveMixer
  • B650 PG Lightning

The list features models including B650E, Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, and even a model developed in collaboration with NZXT. But the five variants of B650E are what have really caught our eye.

The addition of PCle 5.0 for graphics will increase the cost of B650E. However, the price shouldn’t be that high as the Base B650 might cost less than the AM4-based B550 motherboard.

The AM5-based motherboards were designed to be cost-efficient. According to a prior leak, B650 supposedly will cost around $130-$230, while the B650 Extreme will cost about $250-$350.

Furthermore, the B650E series will also have a much better PCB for better signaling to comply with strict Gen5 protocol specs. These features, plus the DDR5 support, should make the Gen5 B650 Extreme compatible for a reasonable amount of time.

AMD is highlighting that X670, X670E, and now the B650E will have exceptional overclocking support for CPU and memory. Although it is not exactly clear what ‘extreme overclockability’ brings the X670E chipset over X670′ enthusiast overclocking’.

The AM5-based motherboards are rumored to launch with or after AMD’s Ryzen 7000 launch. That means we could see the X670 series as soon as September, though we will have to wait until October or later for the B650 series.

AMD’s Upcoming 600-Series Motherboards Aren’t as Expensive as We Thought!
