Battlefield 2042’s Vehicle Call-In System: Spawn Tanks at Your Will!

Every game in the Battlefield franchise is known for its epic use of vehicles on every map. From big tanks to large fleets of Jets zooming through the sky, each of these was operated by players in the warzone. So, with the announcement of the new Battlefield 2042 releasing this October, it was granted that the fans would be curious about the vehicles they would be allowed to operate in the futuristic world.

Since Battlefield 2042 is based on a futuristic post-apocalyptic world, I’m sure you can guess that the game emphasizing the word futuristic would mean revamped weapons and rides. Well, surprise! The game devs have revealed a handful of new futuristic vehicles and a unique system to get them to the warzone. Now, let me tell you all about it.

Each of these has futuristic modifications to them, making them ideally suited for the year 2042. I’m sure more vehicles will soon be revealed when the game gets more and more closer to its release date, i.e., 22nd October 2021.

But apart from this impressive line of transportations, a new system will be introduced in the game, letting you spawn your choice of a ride at your own will.

Battlefield 2042 will be introducing a new system called the “Call-In System,” where the players will be able to spawn in any land vehicle of their choice using a tablet interfaceHowever, the system will not work for aerial vehicles, and players will have to get them the old-fashioned way. (i.e., waiting in the deploying screen.)

The game devs have also revealed that they will be limiting the number of transports a player can spawn so that players can’t abuse the system and crash the servers. Additionally, there will be a cool down before the player can spawn another vehicle making it bearable for a 128 stacked lobby.

We still don’t know if these rides will be map-specific, but we can only hope to spawn in some battlefield classics to the Portal Mode and enjoy the thrill to the fullest.

It was already revealed that Battlefield 2042’s new Multiplayer Portal Mode would be a mixture of old and new maps blended into one. The maps we’ll be able to experience are:

  • Battle of the Bulge ( from Battlefield 1942)
  • El Alamein (from Battlefield 1942)
  • Arica Harbor (from Bad Company 2)
  • Valparaiso (from Bad Company 2)
  • Caspian Border (from Battlefield 3)
  • Noshahr Canals (from Battlefield 3)
  • All seven of the new Battlefield 2042 maps

These fan-favorite maps also come with a handful of vehicles that might make a comeback on the Portal Mode.

The transports that might make an appearance in the Portal Mode of Battlefield 2042 are:

  • Sherman, Panzer, and Tiger tanks, Spitfires, and more from Battlefield 1942.
  • M3A3 Bradley, M1 Abrams tanks, UAV-1, Humvee, and more from Bad Company 2.
  • F/A-18s, AH-64 Apaches, and more from Battlefield 3.

Other than these, many more vehicles, weapons, and systems are yet to be revealed.

I’m hoping for some serious modifications to gadgets and weapons for this futuristic Battlefield 2042. For example, it would be really fun if the devs added some cool laser guns that might not even fit the standard battlefield scenario. But, till then, we have to keep our eyes peeled for any new announcements and patiently wait for the Open Beta release before we finally get our hands on the game.
