Best Selling Games of March 2021 Revealed

The top-selling games for March 2021 have been revealed, and the list contains what you might have already guessed with some new faces.

Not only does the list contains some of the most talked-about games of the year, but all-time favorite Call of Duty still reigns on top as the most selling game of the month. Perhaps it was only fitting for Call of Duty Cold War to win the top spot, given it was placed second last month.

Cold War has added quite a lot of exciting new features with its Season 2 like Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, 40-player Fireteam mode, and Hardpoint modes. Such modes are perfect if you are looking for some old-school Call of Duty experience.

Surprisingly, coming in close to the top rank, the surrounding games are all new additions. Both Monster Hunter Rise and Outriders are fresh releases. Monster Hunter Rise is a bigger surprise because it’s a Nintendo exclusive and the only platform contributing to its sales is the Nintendo Switch.

Factoring in the fact that Monster Hunter’s last title was one of Capcoms most successful releases. It might not be a big surprise that the studio followed a similar success formula. Outriders on the other hand had a big fan following and high expectations leading to large numbers of pre-orders as well.

Nintendo has a pretty significant presence on the leaderboard, capturing 40% of the spots and that too without including their digital purchases! Super Mario 3D All-Stars is an exciting entry that has jumped the highest number of spots on the ranking as it is being removed from Nintendo’s shop, so people have been lining up in a buying fit.

Coming to the other top picks, most of them are old faces who have managed to regain their positions in the top 10 list, with Minecraft finishing up the list just as the game marks its tenth anniversary. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Animal Crossing: New Horizons being the other contenders, with the latter shooting up to popularity as the world entered into a state of quarantine and isolation.
