Mass Effect has always prioritized the single-player experience. However, after EA came into the picture as the publisher, several fans were worried whether the series would soon introduce multiplayer mode.

EA has in the recent past released critically acclaimed single-player titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. So, it was a wise decision by BioWare to put its fans at ease.

Whilst providing an update on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, BioWare General Manager Gary McKay mentioned there is a team

The word “envisioning” implies that the next Mass Effect game is still in the pre-production phase. Reportedly, work on the new Mass Effect will begin in 2023. We might be getting some new details on the upcoming N7 Day, scheduled for November 7th.

BioWare is currently focused on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the fourth installment in the Dragon Age franchise. Bethesda’s Starfield is releasing next year, and very soon, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be ready as well. So, even though it will be a couple of years till we get to see Mass Effect 4 in action, it will still be a busy time.

Mass Effect 4 is in development.
