Activision and Infinity Ward have released several updates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. These addressed changes and fixed some bugs and glitches. Season 2 is said to be the biggest update for the game yet. It will bring back the fan-favorite Hardcore mode along with new weapons, maps, and exclusive operators.
Infinity Ward hinted that as part of Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the Infected game mode will be added to the multiplayer matches.
This news was well-received within the community since it’s a popular mode. Fans were pretty disappointed when it was not included in the initial release. The mode will be arriving later this month.
In the Infected mode, 18 players are randomly spawned in the map, equipped with a single weapon and one chosen player becomes the infected. The infected player’s aim is to infect all other players before the timer runs out. This mode will make up for the fact that Gunfight is not returning to Modern Warfare 2.
Those who struggle because of airstrikes and under quick scopes, will be happy to engage in hand-to-hand combat. A knife fight is just what some players need to blow off some steam. Those who will be pitted against the infected will also have plenty of ways to strategize their escape. Clearly, the Infected mode is a holistic experience.
