Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Launch Postponed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded introduced the popular Shipment map and Call of Duty’s first raid. These updates were hugely loved by the community, all thanks to Activision, who have been working round-the-clock to release patches for bugs and improving overall balance.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 may be delayed from its scheduled launch date.

New data mining information suggests Season 02 of MWII and Warzone 2 begins February 15th, not February 1st. Seems like the new Season may be delayed. No official announcement yet from Activision.

Although the original release date for Season 2 was February 1st, new data mining info suggests this new date instead. However, there have been no official announcements by Activision yet.

Earlier rumors about Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have revealed quite a bit about the upcoming update. Activision will likely add Ronin as an operator and a variant of the Castle map will also be included in the season. As seen before, Call of Duty is known to bring back older maps to the game.

Another leak stated that multiple game modes from previous Call of Duty games will make a comeback in a future Modern Warfare 2 update. Whether this news is talking about Season 2 is unconfirmed. There will be more info available on this if this particular rumor is true indeed.

Activision might be adding a ranked mode to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in early 2023. In this gameplay mode, players will play in a 4v4 format, and progress through divisions according to their skills and kill count.

If Activision was planning to stick to their original launch schedule for Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, there would have been multiple reports by now. So, it is highly possible that the release date has been pushed further.
