Five multiplayer maps will be available during the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta – Champion Hill, Hotel Royal, Gavutu, Red Star, and Eagle’s Nest will be added in week 2 of the beta. The Champion Hill mode will be the focus of the beta tests once again, but there will also be other modes available.

The first weekend of the beta will include Champion Hill, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Kill Confirmed. Patrol will join the lineup on the Saturday of Weekend 1. Weekend 2 will add Search and Destroy to the list.

Coming to the armaments, players will be able to choose from 2 ARs, 2 LMGs, 2 snipers, 2 shotguns, and 2 pistols in the Champion Hill mode. Beta testers will also be able to unlock 10 attachments for every weapon.

The regular multiplayer modes will allow players to upgrade the guns all the way to level 30. Players will also get the chance to experiment with custom loadout slots. PlayStation players will have 12 slots, while PC and Xbox will have 10.

A new feature is also going to be tested during the Vanguard beta: Combat Pacing. This will help to place players in the kind of matches that fit the experience they’re expecting. There will be three Combat Pacing options: Tactical, the classic Call of Duty multiplayer experience with 6v6 matches, and Assault, which will be 20 to 28 player matches.

The third option is going to be Blitz, focused on “high action lobbies.” Blitz matches will be similar to Assault, wherein they will have larger player counts, supporting anywhere between 28 to 48 players per match.

During the beta, players will be able to choose between six Operators, the multiplayer characters used during online CoD games. Each Operator will also come with their own Finisher. The confirmed Operators are Daniel Takeyatsu, Roland Zeimet, Lucas Riggs, Polina Petrova, Wade Jackson, and Arthur Kingsley.
