New Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Feature Disabled Due to an Exploit

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 having bugs and issues is not new, as the game has encountered various bugs since its initial launch in 2022. These bugs hinder player experiences for the most part, but in certain cases, they end up giving some players an unfair advantage over others.

New updates always bring in new bugs and glitches that have to be fixed by the developers. One of the latest features that was added to the game in the Season 3 Reloaded update on May 10 has seemingly been disabled by the developer, Raven Software.

Raven Software posted on Twitter, stating that the ability to stow Perk Packages in Backpacks has now been disabled to avoid an exploit that allowed players to use a broken perk package to receive unlimited throwable items with the Resupply perk.

These perk packages were added in Season 3 Reloaded as ground loot, and they can be collected through a buy station or eliminating opponents. Players that loot an enemy while having a perk package receive another one, but some players ended up exploiting this and gained infinite lethal items by using the Resupply Perk. This allowed them to gain an unfair advantage over other players.

A video released by Call of Duty: Warzone 2 streamer HusKerrs showcases how the exploit actually works, and just how easy it was for players to exploit the bug and gain an advantage over other players. Check out the video below:

There’s no official word on when the feature will return but it’s good to know that the developers are aware of the issue and are working on it. Hopefully they’ll release a new patch or a hotfix soon which will resolve the bug. Season 3 Reloaded is slated to end sometime in June.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is now available to play for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
