Here Is Why You Do Not Need GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti to Play Valorant

Graphic cards, as the name suggests, are responsible for the graphics that show up on your gaming device. It is a single-chip processor used to control and improve video and graphic performance. So in easy terms, if playing games is a smooth aeroplane ride, your graphic cards (GPU or Graphic Processing Unit) are the engine running it.

GPUs play a crucial role in most games you may have played. It handles rendering the pictures, scenes, and animations you see. Most of today’s fast-paced games are pretty demanding in GPU rendering capability.

Valorant is a CPU-Intensive game more than a GPU, indicating that your FPS is CPU constrained. Hence it is essential to meet the CPU requirements before discussing the role of graphic cards. (Minimum need is: AMD Athlon 200GE Intel Core 2 Duo E8400)

GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti both stream Valorant at premium quality, so we need not worry. They lie on the very high side of the recommendation of Valorant. The least potent graphic card, such as Intel HD 4000 or AMD Radeon R5 200, shall also let you play Valorant easily.

The bigger question is, are they an absolute need? I will discuss this further in the article.

Riot Games establishes some basic requirements for the game’s functioning. Below is a list of them. Use this as a spectrum to see where you lie!

I. Minimum Specs

There are no special graphics cards required with just 30 frames per second. Though streaming the game will not be a problem, persistent lagging may affect your performance. You may not be able to compete with players who have faster computers. In short, you need a minimum of Intel HD 3000 to play.

II. Recommended Specs

Your game experience will be of fine quality with 60 frames per second. Your computer will not slow down, and you will be able to play smoothly without experiencing any pauses. Remember, GeForce GT 730 is the minimum recommendation.

III. High-end Specs

At 144 frames per second, you will be witnessing every frame the game has to offer. The GTX 1050 Ti should be able to make that happen with ease. Remember, these graphics cards improve the game’s quality and frame rate.

The actual gaming talents are within you and may be mastered only through practice. So no matter what GPU you use, your gaming skills are all based on your practice.

Even though these graphic cards were introduced six years ago, they are still considered an above-average recommendation for Valorant. You can obtain 140 frames per second in 4K Ultra, up to 200 frames per second in Ultra 1440p, and up to 200 frames per second in 1080p with these graphic cards easily.

They should easily last you for ten years. It might be a long-term investment if you are a dedicated gamer deeply committed to staying abreast with the latest developments in the industry.

DirectX 12 is supported in its GP107-300-A1 model, built on a 14nm process centered on the GP107 graphics processor. They are dual-slot cards and do not require an extra power connector, with a maximum power use of 75W.

To meet the product’s target shader count, NVIDIA deactivated several shading units on the GeForce GTX 1050. Overall, there are 640 shading units, 40 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs.

Now coming to GTX 1050 Ti. It has 768 shading units, 48 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs. Additionally, it is equipped with 4 GB GDDR5 RAM and a 128-bit memory interface from NVIDIA.
