Here Are the Resolution and Framerate Details for Resident Evil Village

Capcom has revealed output resolution and framerate details for their upcoming horror adventure Resident Evil Village. As expected, the new-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles will run the game on 4K 60 fps, although performance will drop to 45 fps if you enable ray tracing.

As spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, Capcom’s official website listed how each console will perform. Here’s the full breakdown:

  • PlayStation 5 – 4K HDR/60 FPS
  • PlayStation 5 (With Ray Tracing) – 4K HDR/45 FPS
  • Xbox Series X – 4K HDR/60 FPS
  • Xbox Series X (With Ray Tracing) – 4K HDR/45 FPS
  • Xbox Series S – 1440p HDR/45 FPS
  • Xbox Series S (With Ray Tracing) – 1440p HDR/30 FPS
  • PlayStation 4 Pro – 1080p/60 FPS
  • PlayStation 4 Pro (In High Resolution) – 4K HDR/30 FPS
  • PlayStation 4 – 900p/45 FPS
  • Xbox One X – 1080p/60 FPS
  • Xbox One X (In High Resolution) – 4K HDR/30 FPS
  • Xbox One – 900p/30 FPS
  • Stadia – 1080p/60 FPS or 4K 60 FPS (4K is upscaled using dynamic resolution)

The game is also set to launch for PC but Capcom neglected to add any performance details for the same in their list. This comes a day after Resident Evil’s showcase where it was revealed that PS4/5 players will get earliest access to the game’s demo ‘8 Hours in Village.’ The demo is set to arrive for PlayStation consoles on April 17/April 18 and for Xbox consoles, PC, and Stadia on May 1/May 2, depending on where in the world you are. The showcase also shared a trailer for an upcoming animated Netflix series: Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
