Following an unsatisfactory launch of Cyberpunk 2077 last year, CD Projekt Red has faced a second lawsuit from their investors. This second lawsuit comes just three weeks after the filing of the first proceeding.
The Polish developers shared the legal news in their regulatory announcement on January 15. It was confirmed that Manhattan’s Rosen Law Firm filed a class-action lawsuit in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
As claimed by CDPR, the second claim was similar to the first lawsuit in terms of “its subject and scope.”
In their press conference, the Rosen Law Firm pointed fingers towards the game makers for making “misleading statements.”
Moreover, Cyberpunk 2077 was criticized for being:
“Virtually unplayable on the current-generation Xbox or PlayStation systems due to an enormous number of bugs.”

Talking about the second and most-recent lawsuit, Projekt Red said that the claim:
“Does not specify the quantity of damages sought.”

“Undertake vigourous action to defend itself against any such claims.”

Talking about bugs in Cyberpunk 2077, one cannot indeed exaggerate how awful they made the entire next-gen gaming experience.
There was no aspect of the game that was free of life-sucking glitches. Highly justifying the company’s decision of refunding the RPG.
It was the hype that tempted people to buy Cyberpunk 2077. Even despite a botched launch, over 13 million copies of the game were sold.
CD Projekt Red is currently being investigated by Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) because of CP2077’s shaky launch.
Here, the company will be questioned about their refund policy and measures taken to fix the game.
