Call of Duty franchise is a gaming icon. Even after finishing the game, I always find a part of myself clinging to the desire of playing it again. Year after year, every CoD arrival has simply been better than the last.
It is this consistency that helps Call of Duty stand out among other FPS games.
Another thing to be noted about the series is its evolution. Right in the beginning, it’s plot revolved around World War II.
But with the ripples in time, the story started encompassing intergalactic space, futuristic & forward-looking themes. This way, players got a taste of every timeline which kept them intrigued with the series.
Now the gaming series is ready to hit the markets with its new arrival: Call of Duty Black Ops – Cold War. It was not so long ago that the Cold War’s alpha version came to a stop.
But as they say, when one door closes, another opens.
Beta dates of Black Ops – Cold War for all platforms have been announced by Activision today. With this upcoming game too, Call of Duty will adhere to its custom which empowers PlayStation 4 users to give the beta a whirl first.
The beta trial will be first brought into action on October 8 for all those PlayStation 4 players who have preordered the game. This will be followed by an open beta for Sony’s console from October 10-12.
Coming October 15 will see Black Ops – Cold War being accessible to all those PC and Xbox gamers who have pre-ordered it.
Even during this second week, things would not be any different for PlayStation 4 users as beta testing would still be available to them.
From October 17, PC and Xbox beta trial will be open to everyone. Then finally on October 19, it’ll come to a halt.
Going forward, a lot of you who tried out the alpha testing must be wondering about the sniper issue. For those unaware, during the alpha trial of Black Ops – Cold War, utilizing a sniper rifle was way out of control which turned out to be quite a nuisance.
Talking about the matter, Tony Flame, designer for Treyarch clarified that it was being experimented only for the Alpha mode. Things will be back to normal with the arrival of the game’s beta.
Get the beta on Call of Duty’s official website.
