Call of Duty: MW2 New Update Makes the Game Unplayable for AMD Vega GPU Users

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has always had its fair share of issues, but the newest update makes the game unplayable for specific PC players with certain hardware configurations. This problem not only affects the main game, but also Warzone 2.

Recently, a number of players were randomly shadow banned for no reason, with many other players also getting banned, which prevents them from playing the game. But the new update has made the game unplayable for PC players with a specific setup.

Players with AMD Vega series GPUs who are playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on their PCs are encountering a DirectX error whenever they’re trying to launch the game. Beenox has acknowledged and responded to the issue but hasn’t resolved it as of now.

This update has left players frustrated, with majority of the players being unsatisfied with the updates as they seem to do more harm than good. Of course, not all updates break the game, as a recent update ended up solving a minor visual issue involving inaccurate bullets in a load screen image. The update ended up fixing the load screen image, making the bullets accurate so it’s not all bad. But it’s still disappointing to see these issues arise.

Even though they haven’t resolved the issue, it’s still good to see Activision and Beenox acknowledging these issues. Now that they’ve responded to them, a patch is sure to drop in the coming days, which will hopefully fix all the issues so all PC players can play the game without any hindrance.
