CoD Vanguard Leaks Give More Info on Warzone Reveal

This year’s installment in the Call of Duty franchise is expected to return to the World War 2 era, but we barely have any details regarding it. However, much like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, we expect the reveal to be made in Call of Duty: Warzone through an in-game event. And during this, Call of Duty may be making several changes to the battle royale mode.

Black Ops Cold War was revealed very shortly after the release of Warzone, and thanks to its integration, Verdansk was sent back in time. Warzone fans witnessed several in-game events with the reveal trailer’s cinematic, a nuclear blast, and several other story clips cycled throughout the game.

As we get closer to the release of Vanguard, fans have been searching for clues in Warzone for the reveal.

There has been no official reveal from Activision as yet; the community has received leaks regarding possible upcoming content.

Alaix COD, a well-known Call of Duty leaker, tweeted an interesting audio clip that hints at what fans can expect in the upcoming months. You can hear the sound of a commander call from Modern Warfare 2, warning players of an incoming AC-130 assault.

This is a super iconic killstreak from the previous game, and many believe that the gunship may be involved in the reveal of Vanguard.

Upon the launch of Vanguard, fans are also expecting another map makeover and new killstreaks. Additionally, many expect a World War 2 evolution to take over the game once the integration is done. One theory is the AC-130 may be a new killstreak within the game, but that may be only a part of the entire reveal.

Many fans are also wondering how the developers will stretch the story to fit the Vanguard integration.

The game is currently set in the 1980s, but for the AC-130 to be relevant, the game will have to travel back 40 years. Another Verdansk redesign may be possible, but the narrative will need to be stretched to cover another time jump.

Call of Duty Vanguard is expected to launch later this year, and the developers have confirmed that Warzone will take part in the reveal process.
