Colorful has Confirmed the Arrival of the Upcoming GeForce GTX 1630

Just days after the potential release date and real-life pictures of the GeForce GTX 1630 graphic card were leaked, the website of Colorful has been updated to confirm the existence of this low-end SKU.

For the unaware, GTX 1630 is an entry-level GPU from Nvidia that will replace the glorious GTX 1050 Ti. Just like the name suggests, the GTX 1630 will join the tech giant’s 16-series of budget GPUs and mark the first time Nvidia has ever made the xx30-class “GTX” card.

The GPU will rely on Turing architecture-based TU117-150 GPU, will resemble GTX 1650 cards in terms of looks, and feature enhanced clock speed from 1590 to 1785 MHz. The expected TDP for the card is about 75W, implying the card comes without an external power connector and limited overclocking.

While the official website does not inhabit any graphic card yet, it does confirm the arrival of the upcoming GTX model.

But that does not mean we know nothing about it. The design of the BattleAx model from Colorful was leaked last weekend, which revealed the GTX 1630 features an identical dual-fan cooling solution, an individual heatsink that covers the entire length of the card, and a 6-pin external power.

On top of this, the card will also offer three display connectors for DisplayPort, DVI, and HDMI. Since it is mainly designed for OEM segments, the new Colorful GTX 1630 BattleAx will offer 512 CUDA cores and 4GB of GDDR6 memory onboard.

However, the most significant disadvantage the GTX 1630 faces is related to the memory bus of 64-bit as it’s even lower than GTX 1050 Ti’s 128-bit bus. Owing to this, the GTX 1630 will pack even a lower bandwidth of 96 GB/s, making it slower than the card it sought to replace.

The GTX 1630 will launch on 28th June and is expected to carry an MSRP of around $150, depending on where the buyers reside.
