There are a total of five endings in Cyberpunk 2077. While playing “Nocturne Op55N1”, the final mission, the dialogue you choose will determine your story’s end.
Out of five endings, four are standard, while one is a secret ending.
This guide will discuss each end that the RPG offers, so it goes without saying: SPOILERS AHEAD.
1. Where is My Mind? Epilogue
Players can choose this ending by following Nocturne Op55N1 and meet Hanako at Embers. All you have to do is trust her when interacting with her inside the restaurant.
By trusting Arasaka, you will stumble upon the “Where Is My Mind” epilogue.
In this epilogue, you wake up in a space station with doctors operating on you to heal your severe head damage. “Where Is My Mind” epilogue gives you the choice of either giving up on your mind or reaching Earth again, only to die from fatalities within six months.
Choosing this ending unlocks The Devil trophy because V opens up a Rubik’s cube and finds the Devil’s picture inside it.
Note: Your relationship with Johnny or any of the NPC will not influence this ending.
2. All Along The Watchtower Epilogue
Here, you leave Night City with Panam and her nomad gang, Aldecaldos, and plot your attack. The assistance of the nomad gang will enable you to take down the Arasaka boss and guards.
You will have the option of either living freely without Johnny’s control but dying within six months or letting Johnny live in V’s body.
If you choose the former, you will get ‘All Along the Watchtower’ epilogue.
All Along The Watchtower epilogue is the best ending to the game. Johnny Silverhand will be erased from your memory, meaning that your body is no longer under his control.
As a result, you can now live freely with Panam and her gang.
Note: To get this ending, you’ll have to complete Panam’s side quest that will help you build a strong relationship with her.
Going ahead with this ending will unlock The Star achievement.
3. New Dawn Fades Epilogue
Here, you take Rogue’s help to take down Arasaka guards. While playing the mission, you’ll face the dilemma of either living freely for six months or letting Johnny use your body and living comfortably.
If you let Johnny live at the cost of dying yourself, you will get New Dawn Fades epilogue. Johnny Silverhand will keep living his everyday life making use of your body.
V will be seen as a living legend of Night City falling to an unavoidable death.
The achievement you’ll unlock here is Temperance.
4. Path of Least Resistance Epilogue
There is no dilemma or choices that you’ll encounter when choosing Path of Least Resistance Epilogue.
In this epilogue, V commits suicide. Both V and Johnny discuss that killing themselves is the best idea as it prevents further bloodshed.
Moments later, you hear a gunshot, which suggests that V knocked himself out.
To choose this ending, select the following dialogue:
- Select any ending option.
- “Could also put this all to rest.”
- “[Toss pills] I know. Exactly what we’re gonna do.”
5. Secret Ending
If you decide to take on everyone in the Arasaka Tower alone, you’ll activate the Secret Ending. If you die while fighting the guards, it’s game over, which the Secret Ending is about.
In case you manage to kill guards and reach the endpoint of the Arasaka Tower, you will get either the Temperance Ending or The Sun Ending.
Entering the well will unlock the Temperance epilogue while by crossing the bridge, you will reach The Sun ending.
