New super speed mod turns V into flash and enables the player to travel across Night City at lightning speed. V moves so quickly that the game fails to render everything simultaneously.
One of the biggest launches of the year, Cyberpunk, was highly praised for its narrative and futuristic setting. However, it received widespread criticism for its glitches and bugs. But if one plays around with the technicalities, some bugs actually turn out to be favourable.
Taking advantage of the game’s existing mechanics, a Redditor has created a super-speed mod that allows players to run around Night City like flash. Don’t tell Sonic about this.
Redditor u/Strikielol shared a gameplay post explaining how to achieve this speed. The first step is to get a piece of neural cyberware called “Maneuvering System” which enables V to dash mid-air. Following that it’s a simple mantra: “Jump. Dash before you touch the ground. Jump. Repeat.”
The “Super Speed” Mod or glitch was achieved using similar tactics as the “Flying Mod”. The latter took advantage of physical cyberware which allowed V to jump, slow time and hover for a short duration. A combination of these allowed V to “fly around” Night City without breaching the game mechanics.
Coming back to the super speed mod, following the before mentioned “mantra” continuously helps V attain momentum to travel at lightning speed.
The character moves so quickly that the game mechanics are unable to render environmental animations like cars, trucks and others. This implies that the player gets to run their character across empty highways and alleyways. Quite fast ain’t it?
