Cyberpunk 2077’s Patch 1.2 Lists 500+ Bugs and Glitch Fix to Revive the Game

Cyberpunk 2077, the most anticipated game of 2020 saw a disastrous turn of events after the game finally launched back in December 2020. Players waiting to play this futuristic open world were left disappointed when numerous bugs in the game ruined their whole gaming experience.

But, this was just the tip of the iceberg. Cyberpunk 2077’s sales came crashing down when the game’s source code was reportedly stolen by a sudden ransomware attack on CD Projekt RED’s gaming studio.

Fans shouting for refund for their game purchases prompted CDPR to finally address these issues and a new bug fix titled Patch 1.2 was announced.

Finally, CDPR has listed all the bugs and major and minor fixes the new patch will be providing with the Patch 1.2 Update.

This patch will fix about 505 or more bugs, players are currently facing in the game including the Tom’s Diner TV bug which rendered most of the game’s progress useless, if destroyed before the main quest.

The list includes all the bugs, glitches and performance fixes CDPR plans to add with the new update. If you’re not willing to spend an entire day trying to go through the list, here’s a TL;DR version of it.

The new patch will include:

  • About 78 gameplay bug fixes
  • About 127 quest bug fixes
  • About 34 open world bug fixes
  • About 83 cinematic design bug fixes
  • About 24 environment and levels bug fixes
  • About 37 graphics, audio, and animation fixes
  • About 61 UI bug fixes
  • About 10 stability and performance fixes
  • About 19 miscellaneous bug fixes
  • About 11 PC specific fixes and upgrades
  • About 21 console specific fixes

Most of the gameplay, quests, and open world bug fixes comprise of badly programmed NPC fixes, glitches during missions or weird character bugs.

The PC specific fix includes the addition of Ray Tracing to the game, adding a mod folder to load modded archives in the game and also inclusion of 8K resolution graphics.

Although, we still don’t know when this new patch will roll around and if this new fix will give the people a chance to finally finish this buggy game once and for all or not. We just have to keep our eyes peeled for any new announcement from CD Projekt RED!

About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
