Destiny 2’s Major Mid-Season Update Finally Has a Release Date

Destiny 2 is about to get one of its biggest mid-season updates yet, which can potentially improve the game and make changes which have been anticipated by the community for a long time. This update is very important to the game as it’ll be making some monumental changes to the game.

Destiny 2’s mid-season update is slated to launch in the week of April 17. Its main focus is to make primaries useful in PvE content again. Even though the patch notes aren’t out, Bungie did announce that most Legendary-tier Primary weapons will gain considerable buffs.

Auto rifles will be getting a massive 25% damage boost, the biggest bump up among other weapons. Pulse rifles, hand cannons, and sidearms on the other hand, will also get a beefy 20% damage buff. Scout rifles will also be receiving a 10% damage boost.

Bungie hasn’t really specified on which day the update will arrive, but it’s most likely that the patch will drop alongside the weekly reset, which is on April 18, but it might also get pushed back to April 20, as some of the hotfixes for the game arrive on Thursdays. Regardless of when the update arrives, we know that it’ll be dropping next week for sure.

Props to Bungie for actively listening to community feedback and responding to them pretty quickly. Although the mid-season update looks very promising, there are still bigger issues that Bungie needs to tackle, but now, chances are that Bungie might actually end up taking a look at those issues.
