One such singleplayer campaign is easily forgettable, not because it’s terrible but because of its predecessors.

The singleplayer campaign of CoD Vanguard was overshadowed by the success of Call of Duty Modern Warfare (reboot), Cold War, and Warzone. At first, many in the community did not even realize the game contained a singleplayer campaign and focused their attention on the multiplayer side.

Call of Duty Vanguard features a single player campaign and follows the same formula for mission design as the previous two titles. The campaign contains nine missions, each taking up to 45 minutes to complete.

After considering all the factors, Call of Duty Vanguard will take at least 5-7 hours to complete, with nine campaign missions, each taking about 40-45 mins to complete.

CoD: Vanguard brings a deeper story and focuses more on storytelling, unlike previous titles. Thus a lot of the gameplay will contain various lengthy cutscenes and monologues.

Campaign Mission List

Call of Duty Vanguard has nine missions in its single player campaign. Following is a list of missions in chronological order:

  1. Phoenix
  2. Operation Tonga
  3. Stalingrad
  4. The Battle of Midway
  5. Numa Numa Trail
  6. Lady Nightingale
  7. The Rats of Tobruk
  8. The Battle of El Alamein
  9. The Fourth Reich

The campaign takes players worldwide as the game’s story takes place on various war fronts of world war II, such as the Pacific, Eastern, Western and Nothern fronts. Popular Locations such as Stalingrad, Berlin, and Hamburg under Nazi Occupation serve as environments for the story.

Is CoD: Vanguard worth it for the campaign?

The Call of Duty Vanguard campaign is short but fun. It is a story of the Triumph and Valor of soldiers in a bleak time of our history where every other moment was uncertain.

The call of Duty Vanguard campaign deserves a playthrough if you enjoy traditional CoD storytelling.  Each campaign mission is an isolated experience. Thus, the potential of enjoying a real-life inspired story is excellent. Call of Duty Vanguard’s campaign is an enjoyable experience, albeit small, but worth it.
