New Game Plus mode is the latest and most trending video game mechanic in the gaming community because it adds a bit of variety to game replays. Therefore, when a super popular game like Hogwarts Legacy has released, the obvious question that comes to every player’s mind is – Does it have New Game Plus?
Hogwarts Legacy does not have a New Game Plus mode. Unfortunately, at this moment, there is also no official confirmation or any major rumors that indicate that a New Game Plus will soon be added to Hogwarts Legacy.
However, there is no need to be disheartened, as there is still much to do in the game once the campaign ends.
1. Does Hogwarts Legacy have post-game content?
Hogwarts Legacy has plenty of post-game content. After completing the primary story, players will access two new exciting major story quests: Weasley’s Watchful Eye and The House Cup.
Weasley’s Watchful Eye questline requires players to complete the Field Guide by finding every single missing page. Meanwhile, the House Cup quests become available only after the players have reached Level 34.
Apart from these quests, players can complete all the side quests, finish all the battle arenas, and decorate the room of requirement.
2. Can you still play Hogwarts Legacy after you complete the game?
Players can still play Hogwarts Legacy after completing the game since it has plenty of post-game content, and it allows players to explore the world and engage in incomplete side quests.
Even if you have 100% completed the game, you can still roam within the magnificent Hogwarts Castle – explore its every corner and admire its sheer beauty.
3. How long it takes to beat Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy’s main storyline can be completed in around 30 hours, and a completionist run (100% completion) takes about only 37 hours, according to HowLongToBeat.com.
The above-mentioned time is only relevant if you strictly stick to the quests necessary to complete the main story. If you get distracted by side quests or start exploring the beautiful landscapes in the game, then it will surely take you more than just 30 hours.
4. Does Hogwarts Legacy have multiple endings?
Hogwarts Legacy features multiple story endings. There are three endings of the campaign that can be categorized as the good, the evil, and the true ending.
Player’s decisions in the game affects the main story ending, however, not all the decisions do so. Only the ones you make after Ranrok and his goblin army invade the castle and repository during the story’s climax will determine the ending of the game.
5. What to do in Hogwarts Legacy after you complete it?
Players can engage in many different and exciting activities after completing the primary storyline in Hogwarts Legacy. They can complete the remaining side quests, engage in thrilling combat in battle arenas, or aim to win the House Cup.
If you have 100% completed the game, you can start a new one to get a different ending of the primary story. This time maybe go for an evil playthrough, shouting the three unforgivable curses in the corridors of Hogwarts Castle.
6. What happens when you start a new game in Hogwarts Legacy?
Starting a new game in Hogwarts Legacy initiates a fresh campaign, same as your initial run with similar enemy difficulty level and reward return rate and quests.
Furthermore, unless you do not save your previous progress by manually saving, you will lose all the progress by starting a new game on the slot of the last saved game.
To do a manual save, press the pause button and select to save your game by choosing one of the 10 save slots available to you.
7. Will there be DLC for Hogwarts Legacy?
There are no DLCs planned for Hogwarts Legacy currently, as confirmed by the game director Alan Tew during the IGN Fan Fest. He said, “We’ve been really heads down bringing [the game] to life, so at the moment, there are no current plans for DLC.”
It is clear from his statement that the development team has put immense effort into creating this masterpiece, which is already one of the biggest titles of 2023, and for the same reason, a proper break is required.
Hopefully, the team will soon be back on the project and will plan to move ahead with some exciting DLCs. If they do, I will be the first to let you know.
