Resident Evil 4 Remake does feature a New Game Plus. In subsequent playthroughs, all your weapons, ammo, money, upgraded weaponry, healing items, and treasures will carry over, adding a ton of replay value to the game. This will help players to tackle higher difficulties with ease.
However, it is worth noting that side quests progression does not carry over in New Game Plus playthroughs. Players will need to complete all the side quests and requests from the Merchant all over again.
How to start New Game Plus in Resident Evil 4?
Simply completing Resident Evil 4 on any difficulty will unlock New Game Plus for it. This goes for unlocking Professional Mode as well. Completing the game on any difficulty will give players access to the New Game Plus mode for the game.

The difficulty of New Game Plus in Resident Evil 4 Remake depends on the setting that players choose before starting their playthrough. The New Game Plus isn’t difficult by default, it relies on the difficulty that players choose before beginning the NG+ save.
After completion of Resident Evil 4 Remake on any difficulty, Professional Mode is unlocked. In this mode, enemies are stronger, ammo and health drops are rare as well as The Merchant’s weapons and upgrades are more expensive.
How many chapters does Resident Evil 4 Remake have?
Resident Evil 4 Remake contains a sum total of sixteen chapters. In the game, players make their way through three major sections: the Village, the Castle and the Island. Each chapter contains their own sets of collectibles, puzzles and secrets for players to discover.
Players get a chance to save their progress after end of each chapter. They can check their results and how well they performed throughout the chapter as well. It is worth noting that not all chapters are of the same length.
Does Resident Evil 4 Remake have DLC?
Resident Evil 4 Remake features a fan-favorite mode from the original 2005 game known as The Mercenaries. In this free DLC mode, players fight through hordes of enemies to score maximum number of points with four playable characters: Leon Kennedy, Luis Serra, Jack Krauser and Hunk.
Rumors suggest that more playable characters for The Mercenaries such as Ada Wong and Albert Wesker are on the way. A separate standalone DLC campaign “Separate Ways” with Ada Wong is rumored as well.
All of the DLCs were a part of the original Resident Evil 4, which explains why they would make a return to the Remake. However, the dates for the DLCs are currently unknown.
