Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is getting a Double XP weekend starting this Thursday. As of now, this four day festivity seems to be exclusive to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but there is a fair share in store for Warzone players as well.
With the supersized Season 2 winding down, Season 3 for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is enroute. So, if you’re a Black Ops player, you should consider coupling the remaining time in Season 2 with the Double XP weekend so you can progress onto Season 3 with as much as possible. Furthermore, three new maps (Miami Strike, Gulova and Mansion) were recently added to the game along with a swanky new Crossbow, so there’s no dearth of new experiences.
As per Treyarch’s twitter, Double XP weekend will kick off on April 8, 2021 at 10:00 am PT in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. As you can see below, the tweet doesn’t reveal much else, but we’ve seen Double XP weekends receive extensions in the past so that could be on the cards this time as well.
For those wondering what Call of Duty will bring players this year, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the game taking players back to World War 2 like one of the game’s former outings, Call of Duty: WW2. While the development stands confirmed at the moment, no specific release date or period is out. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if the game is announced, like many of its predecessors, in the April/May period.
Damn! No stores found :/
