EA Motive Confirms Dead Space Remake Will Stay in the Shadows Till 2022

When it came to shiver-inducing jumpscares, EA’s Dead Space certainly took the cake. We, the players, were given the role of Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent to space to investigate strange communication failure in the USG Ishimaru.

What we didn’t know were the horrors lurking within the spaceship. Ishimaru was infested with strange alien creatures called the Necromorphs, giving us no choice but to fight for survival.

Following this very premise, Dead Space became a gem for the horror and sci-fi genre. So, it was no shocker that EA Motive decided to announce its remake back in July of 2021. The news about Dead Space Remake spread like wildfire, making hardcore Dead Space fans excited.

Seeing this popularity, Motive even hosted a little Livestream to give an update on the game’s progress.

But just as things were getting interesting, the developers of Dead Space Remake announced that there would be no news from them regarding the remake till 2022.

Dead Space Remake will be going dark until 2022, and the devs team will take this time to focus on developing the game further.

In a Reddit post, the team shared that the development teasers and live streams were the best way to reach out to the audience and get their feedback on the game.

With all the interactions out of the way, Motive will put their heads down and work on the game further, keeping all the ideas, theories, and feedback in mind. I honestly think showing the development progress and interacting with the fans was the best way to promote the new project.

Not only did the interactions make the fans feel involved, but most were impressed by Motive’s transparency regarding developments. And by the looks of the game, I am sure it’s going to be stunning.

Dead Space Remake will probably launch around late 2022 for both PC and Next-gen consoles. All we have to do now is wait till we get some more reveals next year.

About Dead Space Remake

6Dead Space Remake is the next-gen remake of the 2008 sci-fi action horror franchise developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts. The Remake is being handled by EA Motive and is set to feature various upgrades to the visuals, sound, and gameplay.

Dead Space follows the story of Isaac Clarke, an engineer on board an intergalactic mining ship called the USSG Ishimura. On discovering an ancient artifact known as The Marker, the ship is overrun by a species of aliens called Necromorphs. With the aliens turning the crew into one of their own, Isaac must fight through the hordes as he tries to find a way to get back to Earth.

The gameplay is reminiscent of the Resident Evil franchise, with inventory management being a key component. Players have access to a variety of mining tools that become weapons and must navigate the claustrophobic corridors of the Ishimura while fighting off the Necromorphs.
