After the sale went live, EA’s servers started getting a massive influx of players. It resulted in the servers crashing due to the high traffic. But players need not worry; EA is working to fix the problem.

EA’s servers crashed after Star Wars: Battlefront II was offered for free on Epic Games Store. Due to the crash, players have not been able to play the game in multiplayer mode. Many players are receiving error messages with the numbers 623 or 918. EA is currently working to fix the issue.

Although Star Wars: Battlefront II met with a sheer division on its launch due to microtransactions, the game has since evolved into a popular and worthwhile experience. Accordingly, when Epic Games Store announced that they would be giving the game to fans free of charge, there was a lot of excitement. So much so that it is now causing problems for the game’s online servers.

Players trying to log in to EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront II servers have been receiving error messages with the numbers 623 or 918.

The former message reads,

“A large number of players are trying to connect right now. Please wait for a few minutes and try again. Error code: 623,”

While the latter tells the player, “EA Account is restricted,” which can be rather alarming for some.

The servers are crashing because of the high traffic level due to the free giveaway of the game. But the good news is that EA is working diligently to fix the issue. EA Help has assured the fans via Twitter that its networkers are scaling up the new servers for all the new traffic.

Epic Games Store’s recent giveaway has brought back the buzz for the game. It appears that EA has the situation under control, and it seems like fans would not have to wait much longer to enjoy Star Wars: Battlefront II.
