Final Fantasy 7 May Be Free in March

PlayStation Plus subscribers may be getting Final Fantasy 7 as one of the two free games in the month of March.

PS Plus subscribers are offered three free games every month. With the launch of the PS5, one of those games is a PS5 exclusive while the other two can be played on both PS4 and PS5. Rumours always abound towards the end of the month regarding which games Sony will offer free next. This time, the rumour mill is buzzing around the Final Fantasy 7 Remake being that game.

Xbox Era’s Shpeshal Ed was the first to tweet a hint regarding FF7 Remake being the March freebie. Other moderators have also backed up the claim, but PlayStation has not confirmed the news.

Whether FF7 Remake is going to be free or not will most likely be revealed in today’s State of Play event. The presentation is slated to begin at 5 PM EST and is going to feature news about released and upcoming titles for both the PS4 and PS5. There is also a chance that there will be news about FF7 Remake coming to the PS5 and PC.

While you wait for the FF7 Remake to hit the PS Plus freebie library, you can still grab February’s free games. Concrete Genie, Control: Ultimate Edition and PS5 exclusive Destruction AllStars will be available, but only for a little while longer. So, make sure you add them to your already growing list of unfinished games!
