The Case of the Missing Ale is a seasonal quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It is a part of AC Valhalla Yule Festival, which was added to the game, thanks to the 1.1.0 update. The quest requires you to find some ale that has gone missing. To maintain jollity among fellow Vikings, Eivor embarks on an adventure to get the cagey ale back.
Requirements Of Case Of The Missing Ale Quest In AC Valhalla
The most important thing you need to start this quest is a brewery at your settlement. Without one, the quest will never come into existence.
Building a brewery requires 45 raw materials and 600 supplies.
You’ll be fit to play Case of the Missing Ale quest once the brewery is functional.
Reaching The Location
The brewery is located to the east of Hunter’s hut, which lies on your settlement’s right side in Ravensthorpe.
Now that the brewery is operational, the Secret Brew quest will start when you go inside the distillery and interact with Alwin.
How To Complete The Case Of The Missing Ale Seasonal Quest?
After making a beeline for the brewery and talking to a drunk Alwin, you will get to know that Ake stole the ale and ran off.
Given that Alwin is in no condition to find ale, you must track Ake and bring ale back.
Finding And Interacting With Ake In AC Valhalla
Eivor will find a drunk Ake on a cliffside in Grantebridgescire, which lies to the northwest of Ubtech. A tracker will lead you to Ake. Using Odin’s sight will help you discover his exact location.
Interaction with Ake will lead to you realizing that Saxons bandits stole the alcohol. Moreover, Eivor will get to know that Ake wants to help him to claw the booze back.
Note: Pay close attention to the cutscene with Ake as it helps you further in the mission.
Eivor will state that he doesn’t need Ake’s help as he will be nothing but a liability. This leads to a fistfight, and after giving Ake a massive beating, Eivor will be set to retrieve the secret brew from the bandits.
Uncovering Saxons Bandit’s Location In AC Valhalla
Unlike Ake’s case, no marker will help you discover Saxon Bandit’s location. The key to locating these robbers is to pay attention to a cutscene with Ake. He mentions bandit camp during the conversation.
Your secret brew lies at a giant hut in east Ubtech, and is surrounded by guards. So head there and either kill the thieves or sneakily repossess the booze.
Bringing The Secret Brew Back
A Viking’s life is never easy, and this shows as Eivor will have to carry the barrel of alcohol on his shoulder and bring it back to Ake’s boat.
The barrel will not go straight into your inventory. Moreover, there will be no marker to guide to Ake’s boat.
To reach your destination, go along with the southern road until you reach the river where Ake awaits you.
