Gain a Companion for Life with This Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch!

It’s no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 has a wide variety of glitches. It released with them after all. And it was so bad that Sony even had to pull the game from the PS Store after the overwhelming demands for a refund.

Even with the numerous patches, the latest one being the biggest in both size and the number of glitches it addresses, Cyberpunk 2077 is still far from being a perfect game, especially on previous gen consoles.

While there are still one or two game-breaking glitches present in the game, most of them are now fairly harmless, causing little more than a moment or two of annoyance, and sometimes quite a bit of entertainment.

That must have been what Reddit user carrota1 thought when a bug led one of the games NPCs following them around indefinitely after the completion of their mission.

During the “Goin Away Party” gig which is given by El Capitan early on in Cyberpunk 2077, players must rescue a certain Flavio dos Santos from a 6th Street hideout.

He’s supposed to stop following the player once the gig ends, but it seems he didn’t want to leave carrota1’s side. And has stuck with him for over 30 hours now.

The Redditor has shared a compilation clip of Flavio’s actions and antics, which includes the NPC walking around underwater ad hanging out in the background during cutscenes. Apparently he does disappear from time to time, but always finds his way back.

Cyberpunk 2077 glitches have become a conversation topic much larger than anything else the game has to offer. From insta-spawning police units to invisible guns and complete game-breaking glitches, players have been having a field day trying to find all the different bugs in this game.

CD Projekt Red very recently released Patch 1.2 and while it does seem to have fixed a lot of the issues, there are several reports stating that it has created all new ones as well. The update also clearly has not fixed this companion glitch as carrota1 has stated that it, and Flavio, are still present even after the update. Looks like CDPR still have their work cut out for them!

About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
