The much-awaited conclusion of the Liyue saga in Genshin Impact will finally come with the 1.1 update of the game that comes out on November 11, and oh boy, was the trailer that dropped yesterday not an absolute treat to see!

While the trailer mostly focussed on revealing small bits of what’s to come and how the mystery of Rex Lapis’ murder will slowly unfold, it also showcased the four new upcoming playable characters.

Version 1.1 "A New Star Approaches" Trailer | Genshin Impact

First up on the list, and my personal favorite, is Childe, a Fatui bow-wielder who can also summon dual weapons out of water.

He has, up until now, been of utmost aid to the traveler, and without spoiling anything, he’ll have a preeminent role in the events to come.

The next one on the list is Zhongli, a geo-user that, to put it simply, knows nothing about money while at the same time knowing a lot about it.

He’s a spear-user with a fantastic set of moves that put him nearly on top of every tier list. He will also be playing a prominent role in Liyue’s conclusion.

The other two characters that are being added are the Pyro rockstar Xinyan, and Cryo bow-lady Diona make up the new four-star additions. Not much is known about them, but from the looks of it, they are going to another set of powerhouses that players should look forward to having in their roster.

Other than all this, a reputation system is also being added into the game, which will be a separate leveling system to earn rewards by completing tasks across Mondstadt and Liyue.

Also, the first season of the event, Unreconciled Stars, will begin with this update, where the majority of the focus will be on the co-op aspects and how, upon completion of the event, players can earn Fischl as a playable character.

Trust me, Fischl is one of the game’s most versatile characters that can play both as a support and a DPS, making her a must in almost every possible team, especially for all the F2P players out there.
