Genshin Impact is preparing to unveil the much-awaited Fontaine region very soon. It will be HoYoverse’s main region for the year. Last year, the luscious green Sumeru region was released. As the launch date comes closer, we are receiving more and more details about the never-before-seen region.
Twitter user @Hoyoverse_Leak, who is a credible leaker in the Genshin Impact community, revealed the image of a new character in the upcoming Fontaine storyline. This character will be an important part of Fontaine’s navy.

Not much details have been revealed about this blonde character. However, fans are hoping she will be a Geo user given her light-colored hair and orange outfit. It has been a while since the last Geo user was added to the game’s roster i.e., back in update 2.4.
Despite “strong” evidence, it is way too early to assume anything about this mysterious character. Many were fooled when everyone assumed the popular support Kazuha to be a Pyro user before Genshin Impact finally revealed his primary weapon to be the Anemo sword.
Some of the players are guessing that the character in question will be similar to Beidou from the Liyue region. She is a four-star Electro user who is the captain of The Crux, a fierce armed fleet docked at the Liyue Harbor. Her unwavering courage against Liyue’s main governing council, the Liyue Qixing is widely appreciated.
According to leaks and rumors, Fontaine will be filled with lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. So, Genshin Impact will introduce at least five more NPC models who will belong to the region’s naval force. Just like Sumeru has an abundance of vast deserts, you can expect a similar design for Fontaine but with water bodies instead.
Version 4.0 will introduce three more characters to Genshin Impact so you will have to briefly wait for the arrival of the mysterious blonde. The upcoming update 3.8 has quite some fun content planned such as the event-exclusive map Golden Apple Archipelago. Fans will also get to see the long-awaited return of Eula and Klee. Hopefully, we will get some more news about the Fontaine region soon enough.
