Genshin Impact’s Resin Problem May Be Getting Fixed Soon!

The prevalent problem of the Resin amount being given to Genshin Impact players may receive another, proper fix soon.

It’s no surprise at this point that Genshin Impact has been one of the biggest games of 2020. I won’t go too deep into the game’s similarities with Breath of the Wild, but I can safely claim that the game is not merely a clone of Zelda’s latest entry.

The best thing about the game is how much it features at so little price. Well, there is no price, as the game’s free to play, and the only thing that may force you to empty your wallet in this game is its gacha system.

For those unaware, let me tell you, this game almost forces you to spend money on it with child-like innocence, the reason being the sheer cast of likeable characters that you can roll from the Wish System.

Trust me, as a F2P player, I never thought that getting a 5-star character in a Gacha game could feel so satisfying, especially when you haven’t spent a single penny on it!

But yes, many are not as fortunate as I was and end up spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars without getting their preferred character.

It REALLY sucks a lot when you’re continuously getting a 3-start weapon in this game till hitting the Gacha’s pity.

But the addictive Wish system of Genshin Impact is not its biggest issue at all! The biggest issue is when you finally unlock the game’s end-game content and realize one major thing that’s limiting you from progressing in the game any further. It’s the game’s Resin system that is creating such a problematic situation for Genshin Impact.

Basically, to get the rare artefacts and other in-game items, fight bosses, complete ley-line challenges, and do the dungeons, you must have sufficient amounts of resin in your inventory to get all the possible loot.

This hurts the game the most when you have nothing else to do in the game after hitting Adventure Rank 38 other than doing the Abyss and can only improve your character’s stats by getting better items.

The entire ordeal is pretty damn frustrating and may drive many players away from the game in the long term.

Not to mention, with new content being added at a tortoise’s pace, doing the activities mentioned above becomes the only thing that players can do, and the Resin System is already harming this.

While yes, MiHoYo has been pretty vocal about hearing the players’ thoughts on the Resin system, the changes they have announced up until now have remained insignificant for everyone.

But now, MiHoYo claims that more changes will be coming to the system soon! In an interview with PC Gamer, the spokesperson stated that “We are aware of the player feedback regarding the Resin system and the team is already working on some solutions. We will share more information with the community as it becomes available.”

They also claimed that the system was in place to maintain the game’s single-player experience, and I kind of agree with them. Imagine someone comes into your game and just takes all of your loot away to their world!

Not to mention, they also claimed that they would be improving the co-op of the game as well, with the recent Elemental Crucible event serving as a testing ground.

Personally speaking, I want them to get rid of the Resin system altogether, as it will make the end-game much less tedious than it already becomes. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens when the 1.1 update rolls out.

Whatever the case may be, MiHoYo deserves some praise for atleast listening to its player base. They are certainly going in the right direction with this, and I really hope it’s this direction they continue to tread on forever!
