Get The Most Out of Your Kills in Valheim with The Epic Loot Mod

While most Valheim mods have been a blessing, there are some that are just really, well, unnecessary, to say the least. Thankfully, the latest Valheim mod to surface on the interwebs can be classified in the former category.

Randyknapp’s Epic Loot Mod, which is still in early development, will let you add uniquely powerful magic items to the game which you’ll be able to turf out of loot drops and chests. This should save players a significant amount of time and effort that would otherwise be spent resource hunting.

In a style very reminiscent of Diablo, the mod will introduce loot ranging across four different tiers: magic, rare, epic, and legendary. Once you install the mod, it will even let you specify which tier you want to target and if not specified, the mod will throw resources from different tiers across your way. As for the effects of the magic items, there’s a great many that are bound to peak player interest, including Luck (increase drop rate and rarity chance), Warm (Prevent freezing effect), Duelist (sword, when off hand is empty, increase parry and block power) and plenty more.

The mod will also add a new crafting station that will let players add rune based enchantments to their crafted weapons. These runes can be harvested by melting down the heads of dead bosses. Didn’t expect that, did you? We didn’t either but we’ll take additional power to our builds over trophies any day. So, to the forge we will go!
