God of War Ragnarok Screen Flickering Glitch Fix on PS5

God of War Ragnarok has a new bug that only PS5 players seem to be facing. The bug causes the game to flicker, more so on the menu screen. Apparently, the screen flickering burns into the screen and causes it to bleed into the game, which becomes a problem for the player.

There are two simple fixes to resolve this issue on PS5. The first fix requires you to turn off VRR on PS5, which is the Variable Refresh Rate, and the other is completely rebooting your console and then restarting the game. Let us explain both of these fixes in a more detailed manner below.

Method 1: Turning off the Variable Refresh Rate

The first fix basically requires you to turn off the Variable Refresh Rate on your PS5. This is a PS5-only problem, so this should fix the issue. Go to settings, find the Variable Refresh Rate, or VRR, and simply turn it off. Many players have reported that doing so is resolving the issue, so try that once. Restart the game after turning off VRR. If this method doesn’t work, then proceed to the next one.

Method 2: Restarting Your PS5

Whenever there’s a new bug in a single-player game, restarting your console almost always fixes the issue that you’re facing. Since this is a PS5-only bug, all you need to do is just reboot your console and then relaunch God of War Ragnarok, and that should fix the issue.

If any of these methods don’t work, then I suggest waiting for an official patch that fixes the issue. We suggest reporting this issue to Sony Santa Monica and making them aware that a bug like this exists in God of War Ragnarok.
