God of War Ragnarok: The Strond Nornir Chest Location and Solution

Nornir Chests make a return in God of War Ragnarok. Similar to how the Nornir Chests worked in the first game, they provide players with valuable items and incredible rewards which increase Kratos’ health as well as his Rage. 

The Nornir Chests, also known as Rune Chests, give Horns of Blood Mead which increase Kratos’ Spartan Rage meter as well as Apples of Idunn which increase Kratos’ health. 

One of these chests is The Strond Nornir Chest, located in the realm of Alfheim. Nornir Chests can be unlocked by activating or destroying three runes. Here’s how to unlock the Nornir Chest located in The Strond, inside Alfheim. 

How to unlock The Strond Nornir Chest in God of War Ragnarok? 

The Strond’s Nornir Chest can be found early in the level in Alfheim, a bit shortly after you come across the campfire and then slip through the gap. The Strond Nornir Chest is located here.

I. The First Rune

This is a torch-lighting rune puzzle, which means you need to light all three torches located above the runes with your Chaos Blades to unlock the chest. The first torch above the first rune is located to the left of the Nornir Chest, on the cliff’s edge behind some rocks. 

II. The Second Rune

The second torch above the second rune is located at the back of this chest area, under the path on the left, which is near the edge of the cliff. 

III. The Third Rune

The third rune is located near the same area as the second one, just above the path. Climb up the wall with the Blades of Chaos on the right to reach it and light it, or you can alternatively light it from the higher path accessible on the main path towards the Temple of Light.
